Unsafe Loads

It is illegal to transport a waste container loaded beyond its dimensional and weight limits.  This mean you cannot fill the skip above the “Water Line” which is the top rim of the bin.  It also means you cannot place more weight in the skip than the Safe Working Load (SWL) permits.

Whilst mesh covers are used during transport of the skip, they have no structural integrity (legal or Actual) and are not strong enough to prevent heavy debris from escaping.

Skip bins that have been overloaded or unsafe will not be collected.
